This summer, the world is going through a record-breaking heat wave as the world panics. In the United States, the south and the northeast undertake temperatures so high that there have been several cases of heat-related deaths. Recently in California, temperatures have been not only high, but the atmosphere is dry. That, on top of their forest fires, will work Californian firefighters to their hardest. More than 500 fighters are working to put out the fires with help from aircraft.

The heat and humidity are very dangerous, and people are being warned of the heat to avoid heat-related illnesses. In places like Portland, people are working to prepare for another heatwave. The summer of last year killed 69 individuals in Multnomah County due to the heat, and are now working to prevent a similar fate. They have established relations with land owners and managers to create a list of multifamily buildings that meet the criteria for keeping families cool this summer. Officials said property owners and managers can help by "posting the locations of cooling centers, posting information about signs and symptoms of heat illness and then, if need be, doing some wellness checks."

We await further news.
